Established in 1994 under the aegis of the Sh. Gian Chand Dharamvir Charitable Trust, Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar has the unique distinction of being the first dental college in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at Sundernagar Valley on NH-21 in Mandi district on a sprawling 5 acres campus, it is affiliated to the AMRU and recognized by the Dental Council of India. It has 60 BDS and 27 MDS seats in the following specializations: Endodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics. It was the pioneer in postgraduate dental education in the state. BDS fees are around ₹4.67 lakhs annually for state quota students.
